"I want to live for Jazz, not to die for Jazz!"

" Io voglio vivere per il jazz, non morire per il jazz! " era una sua frase ricorrente...
il 17 Giugno è il suo compleanno, l'86mo anniversario della sua nascita.

Cari amici, musicisti, amanti del jazz, fans di Tony Scott, il 28 Marzo scorso Tony ha lasciato la vita che conosciamo ed io, Cinzia, sua moglie, desidero ricordarlo con voi, ricordando la sua musica e il suo essere grande uomo e grande artista nel mondo, festeggiarlo come abbiamo fatto ogni anno - e come a lui piaceva molto: in vostra compagnia e suonando jazz.
Suoniamo, cantiamo, parliamo di lui...ascoltiamo la sua musica, vediamo i suoi video e i suoi quadri, ci sarà la lettura di alcuni suoi scritti, si potrà parlare dei progetti che gli sarebbe piaciuto veder realizzati e pensare assieme come attuarli; il mio personale omaggio a Tony sarnno due danze sulla sua "Nostalgia" e su "African Bird."
Mangiamo e beviamo assieme... ognuno porta qualcosa, ma troverete di sicuro una buonissima pasta al limone.
Ringrazio il nostro caro amico Harold Bradley, per aver dato la ferma spinta e l'azzeccato titolo per la realizzazione dell'evento.
La mia profonda riconoscenza va a tutte le persone che da vicino o da lontano sono rimaste vicine ed hanno aiutato Tony nei momenti più duri. Vi aspetto tutti, Cinzia Scott.

Dear friends, musicians, jazz lovers, Tony Scott's fans, on March 28th Tony left the life we know and I Cinzia, his wife, want to remember him as the great artist and person he was, celebrating in the way we did every year - and as he loved very much: with you all here and playing jazz.
We'll play, sing, talk about him...only good things allowed ... we'll listen to his music, watch him on video, look at his paintings. We'll could listen reading some of his writing and talk about projects that he would have liked to realize. I'll dance my personal homage to Tony on his " African Bird."
We enjoy food & drink together, dinner will be potluck but a very good lemon pasta will be provide.
A special thanks to our dear friend Harold Bradley, who push me to organize the event and gave the right title to the day.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to all of you who have been closed and helped Tony in thought and-in person in the most hard moments.
I'll wait for you all, Cinzia Scott.
