The town of Legnago
is the city were Antonio Salieri, famous Italian composer was born.
The legend (and the movie too) says he was the Mozart's killer.
So, we don't really know why the local magazine write:
" TONY SCOTT, THE SALIERI OF THE
CLARINET "
but is not unknown that the istintive
love of Tony Scott for Salieri was born many years ago beetween
the public of the the first Italian memorial for Salieri, made in
the same theatre. All in the city remembers Salieri, from the hotels
to the wine's names. The concert was organized by Antonio Salieri
Foundation.
The musicians on the photo are from the
Veneto area. The fantastic leader of the Jazz Project Orchestra is
the saxophone player Luca Donini who is also the composer of the first
part's songs of the program.
With him Tony Scott lead the Orchestra, playing also clarinet and
tenor sax.
The second part was made by Tony Scott compositions came out from
the recording of 1953 and 1956 Tony Scott Orchestras. On the repertoire
a fantastic uninion was proposed beetween the two songs of arabian
scent : Whirling Dervish by Tony Scott and Nawa by Luca Donini. On
the program also the Scott's compositions Nina's Dance, Theme and
Variations, and the fantastic 1953 song The Blues Have Got Me. |
